KMP’s Senior Vice President and General Manager Andrew Hanges said that while working on various television shows over the past season it was apparent that they needed to make the VFX process smoother and easier for customers. Having an artist with Peter’s experience on the team should effectively integrate effects as part of their pipeline.

Among the credits Peter has gained as a VFX supervisor and cinematographer are several TV series he has worked on since 2007, such as ‘Eli Stone’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Las Vegas’. He also created main titles for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. Previously, he spent 12 years as a VFX supervisor at Stargate Studios, shooting footage for visual effects, miniatures, models, blue/green screen and motion control work. His visual effects cinematography credits include ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ and ‘CSI: Miami’, for which he was part of the team that created the point-of-view shots that take audiences into the bodies of cadavers.

Peter said he was currently developing a stronger pipeline for episodic VFX at KMP, with the goal of being able to take a project from script breakdown and pre-production to post and finishing, allowing an efficient turnaround and improving the quality of the output. As well as his expertise as a VFX supervisor, Vazquez is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild with hands-on production knowledge of most types of camera currently on the market, to support ongoing evolution of production, visual effects and post. www.kmppost.com
