Motionbox Enhanced Video Player with High Definition
Motionbox have announcedthe Launch of an Enhanced Video Player with Full High Definition. Motionbox, the online personal video sharing service, today announced the official launch of its new High Definition (HD) video player as well as a significant upgrade to the playback quality of its standard video player.
Respondidg to the increasing viewership of professionally produced online video as well as the growing penetration of High Definition personal video cameras. The convergence of these trends has created an expectation among average consumers to be able to enjoy a comparable experience with personal video viewing that they have become accustomed to with online broadcast programming.
Since its inception in 2006, Motionbox has been squarely focused on delivering the most comprehensive, secure, easy-to-use premium video service that addresses the unique storage, sharing and viewing needs of personal video consumers. Basic (free) and Premium members of the Motionbox service have access to of the new player. Basic members should notice an improvement in the video quality of their content which has gone from standard Web-quality video to DVD-quality. Motionbox Premium members, who also enjoy unlimited video storage and downloads for $29.99 a year, will be able to enjoy High Definition playback of their videos. The HD player takes advantage of Adobe Flash Player's capabilities and the exceptional H.264 video format. Major advances to Motionbox's server-based video rendering engine enable Web-based editing of full 1080p video, with AVCHD support coming soon.
The HD and standard video player mark the first of several new enhancements to the Motionbox service to be announced in the coming weeks, including the ability for users to customize and purchase DVDs of their personal videos as well as a more detailed control over privacy and sharing capabilities.
